Chris Gutierrez and Javid Basharat are set to collide at UFC Abu Dhabi on August 19th. The two fighters will face off in a featherweight bout at the Etihad Arena.

Gutierrez is coming off of a win

Gutierrez is coming off of a win over Felipe Colares at UFC 281 in November. The victory snapped a two-fight losing streak for the 32-year-old. Basharat, on the other hand, is coming off of a loss to Gadzhi Omargadzhiev at UFC 280 in October. The defeat was the first of Basharat's professional MMA career.

Topuria defeats Volkanovski

Ilia Topuria defeated Alexander Volkanovski by KO right hand at 3:32 of Round 2. The fight was the main event of UFC 301, which took place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. It was the first time Volkanovski had been defeated in his professional MMA career.

Topuria, who is now 12-0 in his MMA career, was a significant underdog coming into the fight. However, he was able to stun Volkanovski with a right hand in the second round and then followed up with a barrage of punches to finish the fight.

The win is a major upset and it has sent shockwaves through the MMA world. Topuria is now considered to be one of the top contenders in the featherweight division and he could be in line for a title shot in the near future.
