Early Life and Career

Martin Raymond Keown was born on July 24, 1966, in Oxford, England. He began his football career at Oxford United, where he made his professional debut at the age of 18. Keown quickly established himself as a talented defender, and in 1988, he was transferred to Arsenal for £200,000.

Arsenal

Keown spent 11 seasons with Arsenal, making over 300 appearances for the club. He was a key member of the legendary "Invincibles" team that went unbeaten in the 2003-04 Premier League season. Keown also won the FA Cup three times with Arsenal.

Later Career

After leaving Arsenal in 2004, Keown had brief spells with Leicester City, Reading, and Blackburn Rovers. He retired from playing in 2005 and began his career as a television pundit.
